Every six months or 7,500 miles, the Genesis maintenance schedule for most models includes these routine checks and services.

  • Replace engine oil and oil filter
  • Rotate tires
  • Check other fluids and top off as needed 
  • Inspect the air filter and replace it if needed
  • Inspect the vacuum hoses, battery, brake lines, hoses, connections, and the brake system
  • Inspect the steering gear rack, linkage, and boots
  • Inspect the driveshaft 
  • Inspect the suspension
  • Inspect the AC, refrigerant, and compressor 
  • Inspect the propeller shaft
  • Inspect the exhaust pipe and muffler

Genesis Maintenance at Two Years/15,000 Miles

After two years or approximately 15,000 miles on the road, the 7,500-mile Genesis maintenance schedule repeats itself, and these additional inspections and services are also necessary. 

  • Inspect the vapor hose, fuel filter cap, and fuel filter
  • Inspect the fuel tank 
  • Inspect the parking brake 
  • Replace the climate control air filter 
  • Replace brake fluid

Genesis Maintenance at Four Years/30,000 Miles

After about four years or 30,000 miles, all of the above 7,500-mile and 15,000-mile services repeat themselves, plus the following Genesis maintenance tasks.

  • In-depth inspection of the brake system
  • In-depth inspection of the fuel system
  • Inspection of the steering system
  • Replace the AC filter
  • Replace the engine coolant
  • AWD models: Inspect the front and rear differential fluid

Other Major Genesis Maintenance Intervals

  • At 60,000 miles, inspect the drive belts and valve clearance. 
  • At 97,500 miles, replace the spark plugs.
