So, the G70 represents the first new car from Genesis and it’s fantastic! Introduced last year, the Genesis G70 was many awards for being the best new car. Since you don’t mess with perfection, the 2020 Genesis G70 is back unchanged. While you can get the 2.0T with a manual transmission, we think the 3.3T is the better overall choice. Let’s look at the 2020 Genesis G70 3.3T.
The heart if the 2020 Genesis G70 3.3T is the powerful 3.3L Twin-Turbo V6 engine. It produces an impressive 365hp and 376 lb-ft of torque. While the 6-speed manual isn’t available on the V6, the 8-speed automatic is actually faster and more efficient. You might miss rowing the gears, but if you just want to go quick then the 8-speed automatic is the way to go. The 2020 Genesis G70 3.3T will get approximately 26mpg on the highway in the RWD configuration. If you opt for AWD you lose only 1mpg on the highway. (Source: www.fueleconomy.gov)
The 2020 Genesis G70 3.3T definitely shares some design cues from its older siblings (the G80 and G90), but it definitely has an edge all to itself. From the dual exhaust, full LED headlights, Brembo® brakes, and 19-inch wheels it is obvious that the G70 has more spirited driving in mind. The optional Sport trim adds 19-inch Sport alloy wheels, a power trunk, copper headlight bezel accents, dark tint taillight covers, and a dark chrome grille. Climb inside and you will find a Wide Sunroof, Lexicon® 15-speaker stereo, Navigation, heated/ventilated front seatings, and leather seating. A few of the interior upgrades are a wireless charging pad, heated steering wheels, a Surround View Monitor, a Heads-Up Display, and heated rear seats.
The Genesis G70 3.3T 2020 is absolutely filled with impressive technology like Shift-by-Wire technology, Intelligent Drive Mode, Forward Collision-Avoidance, Pedestrian Detection, Lane Keeping Assist, Blind-Spot Warning, Rear Cross-Traffic Warning, Smart Cruise Control, and more. If you want to upgrade you can add Rain-sensing Wipers, Park Distance Control, the aforementioned HUD, and Surround View Monitor.
